    Shaker Heights City School District Awarded USTA Grant

    The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced, through its USTA Facility Assistance Program, that it has awarded a $20,000 grant to Shaker Heights City School District in Ohio. The grant will be used to reconstruct nine existing tennis courts at Onaway Elementary School. The USTA Facility Assistance Program aims to support and provide communities access to safe, appealing and functional tennis environments. Download Document

    USTA Facility Grant Awarded to Kokosing

    The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced, through its USTA Facility Assistance Program, that it has awarded a $18,000 grant to Kokosing Valley Community Tennis Association in Mount Vernon, Ohio.     Inner City Tennis Clinics Children Attend ITA Division III Indoor Championship

    The children of Inner City Tennis Clinics (ICTC) got a chance to watch play and chat with college tennis players at the 2014 ITA Division III National Men's Team Indoor Championship presented by Dickenson Group, LLC, on Saturday afternoon at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club.     Sister inspires Bolton to strive for top of tennis world

    For Lake Forest’s Elysia Bolton, the most difficult aspects of being an elite tennis player are the effort and long hours spent perfecting her craft. But whenever she needs motivation to push forward, she knows exactly where to look — her 9-year-old sister, Sarah, who has HBSL, a rare brain disorder that has left her wheelchair-bound. “She looks up to me, but she has been a big influence on me,” said Elysia Bolton, 14. “You can just see how persistent she is, and it’s contagious.” Read More

    2014 Grandfathered Players Announced

    Players who have competed and earned at least 20 USTA/Midwest Section ranking points as listed on any 2013 USTA/Midwest Final Ranking list are not subject to the rules and regulations detailed in the Earned Advancement system, regardless of their current age. These players are free to play any stage of 10 and Under Tennis Tournaments and may also play in older age divisions as well. Read More
