    Shaker Heights City School District Awarded USTA Grant

    The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced, through its USTA Facility Assistance Program, that it has awarded a $20,000 grant to Shaker Heights City School District in Ohio. The grant will be used to reconstruct nine existing tennis courts at Onaway Elementary School. The USTA Facility Assistance Program aims to support and provide communities access to safe, appealing and functional tennis environments. Download Document

    USTA Facility Grant Awarded to Kokosing

    The United States Tennis Association (USTA) today announced, through its USTA Facility Assistance Program, that it has awarded a $18,000 grant to Kokosing Valley Community Tennis Association in Mount Vernon, Ohio.     Inner City Tennis Clinics Children Attend ITA Division III Indoor Championship

    The children of Inner City Tennis Clinics (ICTC) got a chance to watch play and chat with college tennis players at the 2014 ITA Division III National Men's Team Indoor Championship presented by Dickenson Group, LLC, on Saturday afternoon at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club.     Patterson, Pearson and Malpass Highlight USTA/Midwest Award Winners

    Tom Patterson (Chicago, Illinois) received the 2016 USTA/Midwest Section Mel Bergman Award, the Section’s most prestigious award. The Tad Malpass Family of East Jordan, Michigan, received the Section Family of the Year Award. John Pearson (Indianapolis, Indiana) received the Section Stan Malless Award. All three award winners were honored on January 28, 2017, during the USTA/MIdwest Section Annual Meeting in Indianapolis. Read More

    USTA Midwest Seeks Nominations for 2017 Awards

    The USTA/Midwest Section has two deadlines for its awards each year, and the first deadline for this year is March 22, 2017. The awards for this deadline will be presented at locations around the USTA/Midwest Section during the spring and summer. Any individual may nominate a USTA/Midwest Section member, organization, etc. for a USTA/Midwest Section award. Nomination forms may be submitted through the mail, email, or online. Read More

    Al Must Named PTR High School Coach of the Year

    Al Must, of Waterford, Michigan, has been named PTR High School Coach of the Year. For three decades, Must has been the Head Coach at Adams High School in Rochester, Michigan. He reached a milestone 400th career match win in the 2015-16 school year, and was named 2016 National High School Coaches Association Boys Tennis Coach of the Year.
